INTERVIEW

The Aim of An SSB interview

The Aim of an Interview at SSB is to assess the leadership or 'Officer like' qualities of the candidates by means of a directed or purposive conversation between the candidate and the Interviewing Officer(IO).  In addition to appraising the present level of the candidate, the IO tries to evaluate the training potential of the candidate. The questions at the interview, therefore, will be so directed as to allow the candidate to automatically show his leadership ability in his answers.

The SSB wants to see in you a prospective candidate who is very similar to so many faces that you see in the posters of "Do you have it in you". All those faces you see in those posters belong to simple and ordinary people who were candidates just like you. The SSB test and assessments are designed for ordinary thinking people like you. So, just tell yourself,"Yes I can do it, and, yes, I HAVE IT IN ME TO BECOME AN OFFICER".
